Melanie is a teacher, writer, and graduate student based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

 

Her work has been published in CNN Travel, Euronews, The Telegraph, Atlas Obscura, et al., where she has extensively written (and photographed) ethnographic stories on Georgian culture, such as highlander life in Svaneti, fertility rituals in Kakheti, and Adjaruli khachapuri's supposed origins.​ She teaches 6th-grade ELA and Social Studies at St. Helena-Incarnation Catholic School and is pursuing a Master's in History at Villanova University.
